**Purpose of the Position**:
Soane Britain owns a traditional frame making workshop. Located in Shaftesbury, the workshop makes bespoke, high-quality furniture using traditional methods of manufacture. Due to ambitious expansion plans, we are now recruiting for a trainee frame maker who is interested in starting a long-term career with us.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Working with our highly skilled Senior Frame Makers you will be trained in the unique skill of frame making, after a lengthy training period, you will be responsible for completing your work on time, to specification and to the highest quality. As a member of the Soane team, you will also assist in ad hoc workshop tasks including tidying, moving and stocking up on materials. You are responsible for your own health and safety and of your colleagues.
**Qualifications for the Position**:
- A Diploma or other qualification in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Ideally 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- An enthusiasm for furniture making, willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Hard working and reliable with an excellent attention to detail.
- Quality focused with good levels of concentration.
- Possessing a good work tempo and motivation.
- Takes a safety conscious approach to work with an understanding of the safe use of woodworking machinery, hand and air tools.

**Salary**: £10.55-£11.55 per hour
