**Pricing Analyst**

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire our client is a worldwide business with operations in over 100 countries and a c.500m turnover who are looking for a Pricing Analyst to join them on a permanent basis, supporting the Business Development, Deliveryand Finance departments.

This job would suit someone with experience of data analysis and budget preparation. For this role you will be preparing commercial tenders and budgets for service contracts and provide commercial advice and support to projects during contract implementation.

With over 40 years' experience in their field, this company well known in their industry and offers an exciting role within a business that is going through a very exciting time.

The successful individual will have at least 2-3 years' experience within an analytical role ideally within a pricing or commercial function. You will be commercially minded with the ability to provide advice to improve profitability and reduce commercialrisk. Advanced Excel skills are essential for this including developing and maintaining spreadsheet tools. Excellent written and spoken English is essential.

Job responsibilities:

- Analyse market dynamics, pricing trends, donor requirements and ensure that current tools and procedures for pricing of service contracts are responsive to Client and business needs
- Prepare pricing models and budgets for service contracts that support that support company business targets, deliver competitive pricing and offer appropriate value for money to Clients
- Prepare commercial proposals in accordance to selected technical approach and assist bid teams at defining and quantifying value for money propositions
- Support bid teams in developing work plans for tenders, and produce related costed financial plans in adherence to selected payment mechanisms (i.e. Payment-by-Result, Cost-plus, Time & Materials etc.)
- Assist bid teams at negotiating commercial terms with Delivery Partners, and review [pre] bidding agreements before external issuance to ensure accuracy against budget
- Proactively develop, maintain and optimise tools and models for pricing and commercial management in response to evolving Client and business needs
- Support the Delivery and Finance teams when contracts are won by facilitating commercial handover processes
- Assist the Delivery team in establishing value for money metrics and reporting procedures, as requested
- Support Delivery and Finance teams in managing project profitability and identifying areas of commercial risks and opportunities
- Where requested, attend project Quarterly Financial Reviews (QFRs) to track project expenditure (incl. non-billables) against budgeted levels and generate internal feedback loops for strengthened budget and bid preparation
- Provide guidance on commercial issues, and facilitate cross-departmental problem-solving and collaboration
