MMP is looking for experienced R&D engineers or scientists to become part of their technology consulting team working on a range of IP incentives, RDEC Patent Box and R&D tax reliefs.
Using your R&D engineering knowledge and business experience, your role will be to assess technological innovation to determine if it is eligible for technology tax reliefs. You will do this through face-to-face or virtual interviews with senior technicalstaff at our clients. Then you will articulate the technology, collect and collate financial data to be mapped to eligible projects, and represent all of this material in a compelling report. You also will assist in responding to HMRC enquiries (perhaps raisedon files that you may have prepared), and to help manage those enquiries to a successful outcome for our client.
Technology Tax Reliefs encompass R&D Tax Reliefs including R&D Expenditure Credits, Creative Sector Tax Reliefs and Patent Box Tax Relief. These reliefs were introduced by the government to incentivise UK companies to invest in and commercialise their technology.

This is a client-facing role which requires high quality output, excellent client management, self
- discipline, punctuality, attention to detail and pride in all aspects of the quality of service being delivered.
**Demands of the role**:
You will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards on your own work, and that of any junior staff assisting on the client files for which you have responsibility. Service delivery, project and client management, all form an integral part of thedemands of the role.
You will be expected to manage your own time, work as a diligent member of a team and occasional travel across the UK. This role is mostly a work from home role and is flexible to home life demands.

**Skills required in the role**:
- BSc or MSc in engineering, science or related field
- 4 + years of experience in engineering or science role
- Excellent technical report-writing skills
- IT skills, as a minimum to include advanced MS Excel and MS Word Ability to manage own workload
- Team player, with a collaborative approach to work and colleagues
- Experience working with clients or external stakeholders
- Highly motivated self-starter
- The right to work in the UK
