**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant at a Barchester independent mental health hospital, you’ll provide practical support that helps us deliver the all-round care our patients deserve. We’ll look to you to help our Occupational Therapist work with patientsto help them overcome challenges they encounter during their daily activities. As part of your wide range of responsibilities, you’ll plan, implement and evaluate group and individual treatment programmes for patients. We’ll rely on you to promote or maintainthe physical capabilities and independence of each patient you work with, and record interactions and observations when appropriate. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant at Barchester, you’ll make a real difference to our patients’ day-to-day lives by helpingthem regain their independence where they can.

**ABOUT YOU**
To join us as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you’ll need a Level 2 NVQrelated to care or promoting independence, and be willing to work towards a Level 3 NVQ or Level 2 QCF in Healthcare as you work with us. An ambitious and compassionate individual,you’ll have previous experience in a care or customer service environment. Finally, and most importantly, you’ll understand the importance of privacy, dignity, choice and consent, upholding these basic rights at all times.
