**Job Title**: Mobile Fitter

**Reporting to**:The Depot Manager

**Working Hours**: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4pm, ½ hour unpaid lunch

**Salary**: £14 - £14.50 per hour depending on experience + overtime

**Location**:Durham - DH7 9TT

**Purpose**:
We have a vacancy for a mobile plant fitter to join our busy team based out of our Durham Depot. You will be required to provide effective fitting and servicing requirements for heavy plant machinery with the majority of work to be performed remotely. You will be expected to manage your time efficiently and effectively whilst developing/maintaining relationships with our customers. A company van will be provided to enable you to reach our clients.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
As part of your duties you will be required to attend to routine servicing and maintenance of heavy plant machinery including Telehandlers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Tracked loaders (Bobcats) etc. Diagnostic checks and fault finding. Repairs as necessary to ensure hire equipment is fit for purpose. Completion of pre and post hire checks.

Arc/Mig welding - general welding and electrical circuitry would be useful

Basic 12/24 volt electrical work.

When you are not required on site you will be involved in all workshop/depot activities to ensure that our fleet is serviced and maintained to meet our high standards. You will be part of a fantastic team.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Previous experience of working with heavy construction plant and equipment
- Ability to investigate/diagnose technical faults
- Work to high standards, with an attention to detail.
- Ability to build good working relationships with depot personnel and customers.
- Full driving licence
- Own tools

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

- Durham, Durham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
