People and Organisation (P&O) Business Partner

The Talent Place is excited to be working with one of the worlds leading technology companies who are focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.

They have an exciting opportunity to join the People and Organisation (formerly HR) team as a People and Organisation (P&O) Business Partner. You will have responsible for the end-to-end P&O support to their Corporate and Financial Services business units.
We are looking for an experienced P&O professional who is solutions-orientated and with expertise in business partnering.
As a member of the UK’s P&O leadership team, you will bring insight, an independent viewpoint and credible people management expertise to business issues that will contribute to solving people and organizational challenges.
You will play a key role in orchestrating and facilitating changes to organizational culture, design and structure. To achieve this, you will need to design and execute people strategies, with a focus on key topics such as diversity and inclusion, successionplanning and 'the future of work’.

We are looking for someone who has people as the core of everything that they do, in this role you will:
Liaise with expert teams to utilise solutions to achieve project goals and to implement local requirements defined by the expert teams
Play a key role in communication of the people agenda to line managers
Ensure employee relations cases are investigated and resolving, taking direct control and responsibility when require
Managing union/employee consultative relations as required
Working flexibly across business units and divisional according to workload requirements
As a key member of your corporate or business units’ leadership team, provide timely and accurate advice, guidance and support

You will have an organisational development, L&D, resourcing and talent planning expertise, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders expectations & initiatives from functional global P&O communities & business strategies for these Corporate functions& SFS business areas alongside local UK people strategies.
Proven experience in delivering people projects and a strong advocate of, and with a track record in, employee engagement is a must
An effective and persuasive communicator at all levels, with a strong foundation in people management advice/consultation is essential. Employee and trade union relations experience and a sound understanding of employment legislation and effective and efficientpromotion and use of people management systems and technology, and the utilization of data and information to inform decision-taking.
