7.5 Tonne Driver

**7.5 Tonne Driver duties include**:

- Carrying out daily vehicle checks as required informing directors of any defects as soon as possible.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships
- Ensure compliance with relevant Road Transport Legislation using analogue and digital tachograph equipment and relevant company reporting procedures.
- Ensure time sheets are accurate with all relevant information, identifying breaks and driving / duty times accordingly and compliant with Driver hours etc.
- Inform Directors of any incidents that occur or amendments to personal documentation affecting licensing compliance as soon as practical.
- Carry out daily tasks as designated in a timely manner.
- Achieve all reasonable delivery and collection requests as designated by the Directors within Road Transport Legislation, working paid overtime when required.
- To use vehicles and associated equipment in accordance with procedures and training, in a health and safety compliant manner reporting any safety issues to the Directors.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers in a professional courteous manner, carrying out any reasonable requests within practical time limits and not breaching health & safety legislation
- Driving duties will require overnight stays away from home due to long distance driving (i.e. Scotland). There is recompense for these overnight stays which are paid per their company policy.
- On days where driving is not required, duties will include working in the factory or keeping the yard and vehicles clean and tidy.

**The 7.5 Tonne driver requirements:

- **
- Relevant Licence, CPC and Tachograph cards
- Good navigation and communication / people skills
- Adaptable and positive approach, able to prioritise and work under-pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Able to work on own initiative but also a strong team player
- Proven ability to build relationships with suppliers and customers
