Food Waste Planner

Severn Trent Green Power specialises in organic waste management and recycling solutions through its award-winning network of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) and Composting facilities across the UK. We work with over 45 local authorities and many waste collection businesses, food manufacturers and retailers to provide unrivalled food waste recycling solutions.

We are looking for an Organics Waste Planner to join our lively, enthusiastic and vibrant Commercial Team at our Head Office in Radford.

You will need Advanced Excel / data / CRM skills and to enjoy responsibility for planning / controlling processes within our highly dynamic business operation? We want to hear from you if you are an expert at using and tailoring complex Excel spreadsheets to help manage business decisions. You are passionate and dedicated about taking ownership for making links about critical dependencies and timely communication. You are someone who enjoys being at the centre of a very productive, close-knit team to ensure that our waste facilities operate to maximum efficiency.

Your role involves direct, clear communication and collaboration to achieve operational efficiency and to solve any problems that arise. You can expect excellent team support for training and progression opportunities.

**KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Anaerobic Digestion Feedstock - Waste Planning**

Coordinate daily food waste movements via weekly feedstock plans to balance inputs across our facilities
Ensure the feedstock is attributed taking into account any planned maintenance / tonnage / feedstock values.
Adjust feedstock plan at short notice where necessary
Regular contact with site manager to update their ongoing feedstock requirements
Manage feedstock booking requests from customers via a shared mailbox
Arrange 3rd party services such as haulage, treatment etc.
Advise site manager of any changes to planned deliveries Record actual tonnage received verses prediction and highlighting any anomalies on a daily basis.
- **Anaerobic Digestion Food Waste Customers**

Work with Administrator to check paperwork issued by Sales Managers is complete / accurate
Set up new customer / waste stream on Winweigh, Weighsoft, WAP
- **Commercial Green Waste Customers**

Set up and issue agreements for new customers, and new customers on Winweigh and Weighsoft
Liaise with our site managers regarding any issues
Issue annual waste transfer notes and file completed forms
- **Weighbridge Systems**

Retrieve delivery notes / weighbridge tickets to resolve customer queries about the amounts delivered
Resolve problems with the weighbridge data in conjunction with the finance team Assist with invoice queries
- **General Administration duties**

Produce ad-hoc reports on customers & feedstock

**SKILLS**:

- Logical planner, able to spot critical dependencies, and avert problems or interruptions to business processes.
- Computer Literate. Competent in Office 365. Advanced Excel systems development.
- Excellent attention to detail. Numerate. Accurate and precise data entry.
- CRM system, and data management systems an advantage.
- Data report compilation.
- Good communicator - good verbal, & written skills. MS teams.
- Effective time management.

**EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE**:

- Waste Management industry / legislation knowledge an advantage, but can train.
- Other useful industry backgrounds include operations, logistics, transport, haulage, supply chain or engineering.

Part-time hours: 25 - 40 per week

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
