**About this role**
The work of a rural surveyor draws on a wide range of professional and technical skills and knowledge in key areas including agriculture, valuation and management of the natural environment and landscape.
The role will be supporting our Rural Professional Team in the delivery of valuation, landlord and tenant, expert witness and farm agency instructions.
Providing specialist services including rural management, forestry, building surveying, rural professional services and country house sales.
Day to day work duties will include:
Assisting with due diligence and the preparation of Red Book valuations for a wide range of rural assets including farms, estates, land and residential property. Collating and gathering comparable evidence for valuation reports. Inspections of let and vacant property interests. Drafting of tenancy agreements.
Assisting with due diligence for expert witness reports. Assisting with farm agency instructions
**About the Team**
**How you’ll make an impact**
Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an Apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.
English and Maths GCSE grade 4 and above is a mandatory requirement.
Our work is diverse and exciting, and our surveyors are working in rapidly changing rural land markets, with dynamic and forward thinking clients. The range of asset types and ownership structures is often diverse and we work in some of the most scenic and high value rural locations.
This role offers an opportunity to gain experience dealing with the very best, highest value and quirkiest properties in the UK.
**Training**
5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprentice), which entails a part time undergraduate degree apprenticeship (4 years) and APC (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of undergraduate degree) leading to RICS qualification. Full on the job training provided for all skills required.
**Career development**
We will provide the full suite of Savills training programme including mandatory health and safety and office training.
We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are fully up to date with changes to legislation and business needs.
