Freelance Bookkeeper

**About us**

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust is a small charity with big ambitions. We raise funds and awareness to support the services and staff of the Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover who provide outstanding end of life care to adults with life-limiting illness.

We are looking to recruit a part-time freelance bookkeeper to work two to three days a month. Reporting to the Charity Director, you will:

- enter payments and expenditure on to our Sage accounting software
- reconcile bank accounts and petty cash on a monthly basis
- prepare management accounts on a monthly basis
- run payroll using HMRC Basic PAYE tools (currently three employees) on a monthly basis
- run NEST pensions (currently two employees) on a monthly basis
- generate year-end accounts and liaise with accountants
- generate financial data as required

Applicants are required to:

- have several years as a bookkeeper preferably freelance, with proven management accounting knowledge
- have a good knowledge of Sage accounting software
- Be trustworthy, reliable and organised

Based in the charity office at the Countess of Brecknock Hospice in Andover, this role would be on a self-employed basis.

Pay: £15.00-£40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
