The Senator Group is a major employer in the Burnley, Hyndburn and Blackburn area employing 1000+ staff across its Lancashire based manufacturing sites. We design and manufacture innovative office furniture which we supply to our customers worldwide.

We currently have a great opportunity for a
**Production Supervisor** join our production management team working from our Engineering site in Blackburn which manufactures various metal-based products as part of our overall production process. Key to the role is monitoring, managing and developing a dedicated team ensuring production demands are achieved whilst delivering high levels in quantity and quality which meets production demands.

**The Role**:

- Lead, motivate and develop team members across the department including recruitment, staff appraisals, performance reviews, grievances and disciplinary procedures.
- Manage and evaluate KPI’s to ensure they are in line with organisational requirements.
- Ensure products meet their deadlines and is responsible for updating team of any delays.
- Develop training and development plans to ensure that all employees’ relevant needs are identified and are trained to the required standard.
- Ensure the quality of product is being managed in order to meet customer expectation.
- To ensure that safe systems of work are in place in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

**The Person**:

- A sound understanding of modern lean manufacturing process and disciplines.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Background working within manufacturing.
- A good understanding of modern lean manufacturing process and disciplines.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Pro-active with a positive mind-set and ‘can do’ attitude.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

**Working Hours**: 07:00 - 16:00pm / Monday to Thursday - Friday 7:00 - 12:45
