**RAFIAS - Who are we** Established in 2006, Rafias is a small creative agency based in Southeast London (Orpington). We provide our clients with Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Marketing and Digitally Printed material. We have a small in-house Print Reprgrapic's Studio that produces high quality printed collateral for our customers. **JOB SUMMARY** An energetic and enthusiastic individual is urgently needed to help grow our small but busy digital printing and Packing Department. This is an ideal opportunity for a school leaver or someone who is looking to move into a career in print finishing and design. The role will involve --Processing online orders - Learning artwork and basic graphic design skills - Edit/Manage artwork to ensure files are suitable for print - Learning to operate our Digital Printing Press - Digital printing (Flyers, Posters, Business cards, Booklets etc - Setting up and running a range of print finishing machinery including - folder, laminator/foiler, creaser, perforating, booklet maker, various binding machines and guillotine. - Maintaining work areas and equipment - Packing goods to be despatched and organise/co-ordinate couriers - Manage/Control consumable stock levels and orders from suppliers - Help manage our digital print production workflow - Help ensure schedules and deadlines are met - Monitor and ensure quality assurance of all finished printed material - Assist with customer service issues promptly and professionally Please note that this role will involve some heavy lifting of paper, packaging and finishing materials. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** The role would suit a recent school leaver interested in a career within the design and print industry, who is a quick learner and self-motivated. The successful applicant will have --Good basic computer knowledge (Apple Mac) - A good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop) is a benefit but not essential - Good people skills - Confident and professional telephone manner - A keen eye and attention to detail - A strong work ethic and organisational skills - A common-sense approach to tasks - Has a "Can Do" attitude - Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks - The ability to work independently at times - Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment - Able to work on foot for extended periods of time - A driving license is an advantage but not essential - Fluent in English (Written / Spoken) **BENEFITS** - Salary £14,000 - £16,000 PA - Payrise after 6 months successfully completed probation period - Full training provided - Company Pension - Paid Holidays: 20 days + Standard Bank Holidays - Opportunity to progress - Friendly & relaxed working environment - Ability to work from home on occasions
