**Job Summary**
Working within a team of Security Guards maintaining clean, safe and secure environment on all sites across the North East and Yorkshire.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
**Principle Accountabilities**:
- Responsible for ensuring that rules, regulations, procedures and requirements in all aspects of security are carried out in the specifications laid down by G&A Security
- To act as an ambassador for G&A Security and our clients at all times, ensuring the required standard uniform is worn in full by you and all Security Guards at all times during each shift unless the site provides an exception.
- Maintain confidentiality in all instances at all times, even when not on duty
- Ensure all duties as laid down in the on-site assignment instructions are followed each shift without exception. Help instruct and assists in the training of new, temporary or cover security staff when necessary
- Working with the Operations Manager, Security Guards and Office staff during major incidents; to restrict access to the site; regulate movement of traffic and pedestrians (if required) and liaise with the emergency services
- Ensure you arrive at work 15 minutes early when performing site duties; cover before your shift commences in order that an adequate handover can be performed with the member of staff you are relieving from duty, if relevant
- Attend training sessions as required on both working days and rostered days off
- Operate within G&A Security’s policies and procedures for Health and Safety, Lone Working and Equal Opportunities
- **Main Responsibilities**
- Undertake patrols using electronic reporting system to record the locations and times visited during each patrol
- Respond to intruder alarms as appropriate; inspect for signs of break-in search for suspects and liaise with police and emergency services
- Opening up and locking of sites as per keyholding requirements daily
- Report repairs required to G&A Security’s office team via SmartTask reporting
- Monitor staff check calls as per on-call requirements ensuring the safety of Security Guards on site, completing welfare checks when required
- Cover Security Guard shift as and when required

- Support and assist in the recovery of company fleet vehicles to approved garages with help from
- Undertake on-call responsibilities including being available 24 hours per day if required to attend call-outs

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Math and English (D or Above) Essential
Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office: Including Word & Excel Essential
Valid Clean UK Driving Licence Essential
Experience of roster management Essential
Understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities relation to security Essential
Performance focussed and motivated by achieving measurable results Essential
Commitment to, and understanding of, confidentiality, equal opportunities and diversity Essential
policies
SIA Licensed Security Guard and/or Door Supervisor Essential
Work experience of SmartTask equipment (or similar) performance/patrol management Essential
equipment/software
Experience of delivering excellent customer service Essential
Training in Emergency First Aid at Work Desirable
Experience of supervising a team Desirable
Basic knowledge of areas across North East England and Yorkshire Desirable
