Our unprecedented growth means we now have a fantastic opportunity for skilled, field-based vehicle mechanics to join our Superflex Roadside Patrol team. Roadside is at the very heart of our business, as our Patrols deliver an exceptional and much needed serviceto our members. Unlike working in a garage or dealership, you’ll be out and about dealing face-to-face with our customers, handling breakdowns, offering technical support, and delivering the exceptional service that they've come to expect from RAC.
You’ll come across a diverse range of breakdowns and technical issues, with the goal of fixing at least 4 out of 5 vehicles at the roadside, so technical expertise and qualifications are a must. A natural people person, you’ll get a kick out of offering muchneeded assistance with a calm and friendly approach, whatever the situation. You’ll need a minimum Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and proven, core mechanical and diagnostic skills. And of course, you’ll also need a full driving licence
Our Superflex Patrol are just that, super-flexible. You’ll work 40 hours per week within the hours of 0600 and 0200 over seven days a week, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. We’ll tell you 7 days in advance when you’ll be workingand let you have your core hours 3 days in advance.
