About the role
**SS&C Bluedoor - Scrum Master**

**Key accountabilities**:

- Manage delivery priorities - through consultation with the Delivery Lead and Product Management, agree on the plan and priority of delivery as well as the delivery targets and methodology.
- Manage and maintain strong stakeholder relationships (both internal and external).
- Work with relevant stakeholders and team to understand requirements and assist in transforming them into client deliverables.
- Manage Project Tracking data including Status, Estimates, Tasks, Bugs, Issues and Risks.
- Provide timely and accurate status reports
- Identify project resource needs, define roles and responsibilities of team members, and ensure resources are utilized effectively.
- Establish clear delivery goals and ensure team members are motivated, supported and skilled to achieve these goals. Goals can be established and executed upon through agile or waterfall methodologies - depending on the need of the program.
- Maximize team effectiveness by identifying and removing impediments that inhibit performance - e.g. dependencies, inefficiencies, unnecessary processes, etc.
- Enhance team's self-organisation and build a genuine culture of reflection and improvement.
- Foster critical thinking and empower team members to take ownership of technical quality and their design choices.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to individuals and the team.
- If required, guide and manage multiple project teams (2-3) at the same time with different team sizes, different cultures, co-located and distributed teams.
- Identify and implement metrics to measure a team’s effectiveness and then use those measures to help guide a team forward.
- Perform release management activities where required including release notes and delivery to clients.

**Technical Knowledge & Skills**:
**Expert in**: Project Management, Master of JIRA, Confluence etc. Strong understanding of software development life cycle and DevOps. Experience leading multiple project teams

**Expert in**: Servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. Excellent communication and mentoring skills

**Education & Qualifications**:
**The following qualifications will be highly regarded**:

- One or more of: Certified Scrum Master / Iteration Manager, PRINCE2, PMP, etc.
- Must have 3+ years of professional experience working as Project Manager and/or Scrum Master and preferably 5+ years’ experience at project management, team management level

**Previous Experience and Knowledge**:
**The following experience or knowledge will be highly regarded**:

- Technical Application Development background preferred
