Are you an education specialist with strong leadership skills who can support tutors to deliver first-class learning opportunities for young people with disabilities?

Due to an internal restructuring a new Head of Learning and Support role has been created. The role will oversee the leadership and management of holistic learning programmes for learners with significant range of complex medical, cognitive and health needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). You will oversee and ensure high quality provision of curriculum and management of wider specialist input and personalised learning teams that result in positive, meaningful and sustainable outcomes as students prepare for their wider transition into adulthood.

National Star has an excellent track record of helping students to achieve significant progress while at college and this role will be instrumental in continuing this work.

It’s expected that you will have a teaching qualification and it is desirable for you to have knowledge and experience of using the RARPA framework. An Internal Verifier qualification would also be helpful for the role.

This is a demanding, busy role where excellent planning and organisational skills will be used on a daily basis. You will need to manage conflicting priorities to meet tight deadlines and be a positive role model at all times.

You will use your seasoned management skills to manage a large team, motivating them to deliver a quality provision that meets the needs of learners. It goes without saying that you will fly the flag for National Star students.
