Head of Facilities

Director of Facilities is responsible for developing and leading facilities operations at Sky Studios Elstree (SSE). This role ensures best use of SSE and Sky Spaces operations, tools, resources and knowledge whilst providing the best level of client service at SSE, ensuring a production friendly site and safe environment for all our clients and teams.

This role will drive excellence throughout the end-to-end Facilities operation at SSE, ensuring all facilities work is delivered on time and fully aligned with client expectations.

***What you'll do**:

- Manage Facilities team to ensure maximised performance and resilience as well as operational efficiency
- Lead and drive ambitious sustainability agenda for facilities and site operation to ensure Sky Studios Elstree is on target to be the most sustainable studio lot in the world whilst facilitating productions in being as sustainable as possible.
- Ensure delivery, service and maintenance of a high-performance network of mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure across the site
- Ownership of facilities systems and processes on behalf of SSE and in alignment with wider Sky Spaces and Enterprise Technology
- Establish facilities KPIs and reporting aligned with SSE targets for best-in-class client service
- Maintain responsibility for Facilities budget planning, tracking and spend management

***What you'll bring**:

- Strong understanding of the working practices of a top tier UK film studio production facility
- 5+ years of experience leading complex facility operations and solving complex operational problems
- Passionate about driving sustainability and experience driving a green agenda in a corporate environment
- Extensive experience in engineering solutions including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, along with general maintenance of grounds and facilities
- Willingness to challenge the status quo, introduce new and better ways of delivering results, and make difficult decisions and lead through change.
- Highly delivery focused and solution orientated; quick to respond/act
- Ability to lead teams of professionals by mentoring and developing; helping them reach their full potential.
