**New Job | Finance Assistant (Accounts Receivable) - 12m FTC - up to £25k - Manchester**

Morson are proud to be partnering with a Global Technology company looking for a **Finance Assistant (Accounts Receivable) **to join their Manchester office.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover for maternity leave, ideal for someone with previous experience of **Accounts Receivable / Sales ledger administration**with good communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to use their own initiative.

**Main duties & responsibilities for theFinance Assistant**:

- **Accounts Receivable**;
- Sales Ledger; Processing sales invoices, posting vendor invoices and ensuring payments are made on time
- Initiating payment runs and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure payments in bank are approved in a timely manner, processing bank receipts in the accounting software
- Manage bank reconciliations for different banks (multiple currencies)
- Reviewing VAT is recorded correctly on invoices.
- Actively manage cash collections of outstanding receivables and proving regular updates to the Revenue Manager.
- Assist in providing information to internal and external audit teams as required.
- Assist the finance transactional team with other tasks as required to ensure adherence to corporate submission deadlines.
- Updating cash flows for collections received / forecasted and invoicing.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Previous experience of working in a finance assistant / sales ledger role is essential
- Experience of working across geographies and multi-currency accounts would be an advantage
- Ideally working towards a finance qualification
- Experience of working on Great Plains or ERP environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work under pressure to tight time-scales
- Broad knowledge of software and information technology markets an advantage
- A Self Starter, keen to learn and develop with a strong team work ethic
- Ability to work from home effectively
- Professional level of customer service both internally and externally

**Location**: Manchester, with flexible home working (2 days office, 3 days WFH each week)

**Salary**:up to £25,000 per annum (DOE) + benefits + bonus opportunity

25 days hol + bank hols
