The recruitment team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a research-focused, enthusiastic individual to join our R&D Team as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
Main duties
The post holder is responsible for delivering a range of services to the Southampton NIHR Clinical Research Facility including setting up all clinical trials, trial coordination, data management and database training. As well as providing key support with project management within the facility. This pivotal role will also raise the profile of clinical trials within the centre and ensure trials are properly conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance framework and are compliant with the EU Directive for clinical trials

**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the relevant R&D teams to ensure clinical research activity within UHS is initiated efficiently.
- Ensure workload is carried out in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the UK Policy for Health and Social Care Research and current legislation.
- Manage a portfolio of studies at various stages in the approval pipeline, requiring the ability to prioritise and adjust plans according to Divisional and Trust requirements/strategy.
- Assist R&D teams with study set-up to ensure accuracy and timeliness and provide the correct level of assistance to achieve this aim, which may vary from team to team.
