**Housekeeper Required**

Were Student Roost. An owner and operator of purpose-built student accommodation across the UK. We’re not quite the new kids on the block, having already created a portfolio of over 20,000 beds and ambition to increase that further in the near future; but were at the very beginning of building our brand, our culture and our DNA. That makes it a really exciting time to join us.

Were already a team made up of really great people and were a business who will endeavour always to do the right thing, in the right way truly putting students experience, welfare and safety at the top of our agenda.

We want to be a stable, welcoming, and safe backdrop to our residents entire time at University, giving them one less thing to worry about. Our Housekeepers work alongside the wider team to ensure a clean and sparkly environment, for our residents. Our properties are our shop window and the Housekeepers role is responsible for maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness, looking after our residents needs and maintaining a polite and courteous attitude.

Our new Housekeeper will become a key part of our existing, friendly and experienced property team at our Sheffield properties.

**Key responsibilities for our Housekeepers**:

- Our Housekeepers are an important cog in the Student Roost wheel, working alongside the wider team and making sure that all assigned areas are clean, neat and tidy and performing all cleaning tasks to the highest standard.
- At the top of your agenda will be to maintain, adhere and follow all our company health & Safety policies and processes. Safety and welfare are never overlooked, so you must be able to use all equipment safely and efficiently and report any maintenance or health & Safety concerns.
- You will have the important job of stock Control. So, we ask that you make regular assessments of stock levels and work with the Assistant Manager to ensure that stock levels are all correct and any items that need increasing and done in line with budgets and preferred suppliers.
- Our amazing teams don’t ever walk past a problem and this is particularly important for our Housekeepers. You will ensure our property is inviting, well maintained and safe. Act as the eyes and ears for the Property Manager for any issues throughout the properties and ensure that every interaction you have with our residents is a positive one, that makes a difference to their day.

**Experience and Skills Required**:

- We would love someone on board who has experience working as a Housekeeper in a fast paced, customer service environment with the ability to assist with large scale departure and arrival periods.
- Ideally our new Housekeeper will have the ability to use industrial cleaning equipment with a good attention to detail to help support the main business function by cleaning to a high standard.
- We pride ourselves on how awesome our teams are, so we are looking for a self-motivated, well organised and well-presented individual to add to this. You must also have the ability to communicate with colleagues and residents alike and be flexible whilst adding value to the Student Roost team.

**Salary**: £18,915.00 per year
