Relief Education Support Staff

**About the role**
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture is looking for **enthusiastic** and** **dedicated** **individuals to join the relief list as Education Support Staff to assist and support Teachers and pupils within the Island’s schools.
Your main responsibilities would include:
- ** Supervising** and **providing** **support** for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- **Assisting** **with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
- ** Monitoring** **pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
- ** Promoting** good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour
- **Providing** **feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher
Please note, there is no obligation for those on the relief list to undertake work or for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to provide work.
