Residential Children's Support Worker

**Responsibilities**:
- Provide high quality care and support to children in our residential home.
- Establish positive relationships with our children and help them develop life skills.
- To create a supportive environment for our children, with a focus on promoting safety, health and well-being.
- Ensure our home is safe, secure and stable for our children.
- To assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, laundry and personal care.
- This position includes scheduled sleep shifts
- To communicate positively and honestly, ensuring excellent communication to connect with our children, keeping them informed and allowing them to express themselves authentically.
- To care about doing things well - contribute to creating an environment that enhances positive development and one that provides memorable experiences that help our children achieve independence in the future.
- To safeguard children from risks to their health and welfare.
- Ensuring our children's safety by staying up to date on individual care plans and any changes to these.
- To support behaviour safely and with empathy.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the care of our children e.g. Psychologists
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory and good practice as outlined in the Children’s Home Regulations 2015
**Requirements**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- A full, UK driving license
- Competent working with IT systems
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,400.00-£29,000.00 per year
