Are you an experienced store assistant? Looking for that new opportunity working for a market leading merchant and well-known brand within the heavyside industry? We are currently recruiting for an exciting trade store assistant vacancy operate out of our clients branch in Southampton.

£28,000 Base salary

Hours: 06:30am - 16:30 Monday - Friday (No weekends)

**Your New Role**

This role is primarily responsible to serve customers in store, as well as general housekeeping such as checking goods in, stocking up and cleaning in the store and warehouse. Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as requested by the Trade Store Manager.

**Main Role/ Responsibilities**:

- Serving customers at the Trade Counter
- Picking goods for customers collecting
- Ensuring a well-stocked and tidy Trade Counter
- Housekeeping of the Trade Store/Warehouse
- Always Adhering to the Health and Safety policies and procedures, supporting the Trade Store Manager with the H&S commitments to the Company.
- Assisting the trade store manager with stock takes
- Checking off deliveries/stock transfers and putting into stock
- Completing relevant paperwork to ensure accurate stock control

**The Person**
- Construction Industry Experience would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal teamwork, collaboration skills and Safe Handling Awareness.
- IT Literate
- Previous face to face customer service experience/ strong communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
