Animal Nursing Assistant

**Overview of Role**:
A key member of the Veterinary Team, the role is responsible for supporting all colleagues by maintaining high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice, supporting the reception area and caring for animals under the supervision of qualified employees.
**Responsibilities**
- Clean, maintain and sterilise consumables, surgical instruments and kits required for procedures
- Laundry maintenance
- Maintaining stock in the clinical areas through restocking and ordering as required
- Undertaking reception tasks as required - referring to Reception job description
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness throughout the whole practice according to daily, weekly and monthly checklists
- Report faults with equipment, surgical instruments and ancillary equipment to senior members of the team
- Assist Senior team members with coordination and implementation of regular servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Support nurse team by undertaking aspects of patient care and hygiene with support and supervision.
- Assist qualified nurses with recovery of patients from anesthesia
- Undertake CPD and training as required
- Ensure own safety, and the safety of others who may be affected by your actions
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required of you in the post.
