The Clinical Lead will ensure at all times the patient is at the centre of all our actions and act as role model for all clinical staff. To lead in the service delivery and service developments of the Mental Health Support Service within the STSFT Child and Young Peoples Mental Health service. To have accountability for the Mental Health Support Service for the efficient and effective operational management of the workforce, guaranteeing provision of high quality evidence based practice which will be delivered within a school setting. Leading by example, they will drive up standards of clinical care; have the responsibility and authority to get the essential components of care right for patients ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect; resolving problems for patients and relatives and ensuring high standards are maintained and delivered throughout the service.

To be a core member of the directorate team supporting the development and delivery of high standard clinical services that holds patients and their families at the centre. Ensuring the implementation of robust systems and processes that provide the highest quality of service within a robust assurance framework. To support the Business and Operational Manager in the delivery of continuous improvement, cost improvement and efficiency across the directorate To support the Business and Operational Manager in delivery of contractual performance and key national and local performance indicators To support the Head of Nursing and Matron to ensure high standard of clinical practice supported by evidence based practice and NICE guidance.
