Curious Universe is recruiting for an Art Director to work as part of our in-house creative team across toy, book, craft and stationery projects in our fast-paced and dynamic studio. This is a permanent, full time opportunity to work with our Creative Director and Design Team to create stunning products for global brands in the children’s sector.
- Reporting to the Creative Director, you will support the creative development of all brands and products, overseeing art and design with the Lead Designers.
- Involved in briefing and approval of all new creative materials.
- Working closely with other team members in a collaborative approach to create fun, exciting and innovative products.
- Working closely with the Creative Director to ensure technical and creative excellence across all projects.
- Liaising with relevant external resources, including designers, illustration agents, studios and licensors, as necessary.

**About you**
- Over 10-years’ experience in design with excellent consumer-facing design experience, particularly within the children’s sector
- Excellent knowledge and experience of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat
- Good people-management skills are essential
- Conscientious and inclusive approach, self-motivated and pro-active, with a passion for children’s illustration and design
- Exceptional organisation skills and fully able to build workable schedules and project timelines that ensure all key deadlines are met.
- Leads, motivates and inspires team to achieve personal, departmental and organisational objectives and initiatives
- Confidence and a good communicator
- Initiative, honesty and integrity
- Positive can-do attitude within a fast-changing environment

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
