We’re looking for a hands-on, dependable Deckhand to join our Maritime Operations team. You’ll be supporting everything from daily commissioning activity in the Solent to towing ops and vessel prep and potentially even getting involved with cutting-edge unmanned platforms down the line.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Deckhand duties aboard Kraken’s own vessels and occasional contracted craft
- Setting up towing (alongside & astern), line handling, watchkeeping
- Driving our 8m RIB when needed (Powerboat Level 2 essential)
- Keeping our boats shipshape (basic maintenance & cleaning)
- Preparing vessels for road transport and filling out daily ops paperwork
- Helping move things around the workshop (forklift training provided)
- Managing LSA servicing logistics
- Pitching in with vehicle & workspace cleanliness

**We're looking for someone who**:

- Has a valid clean driving licence
- Holds RYA Powerboat Level 2 with commercial endorsement
- Has recent, hands-on experience in a related field (water sports, lifeboat crew, commercial marine work, etc.)
- Is comfortable with Microsoft Office and general IT use
- Holds a valid, in-date passport (some travel may be on the cards)
- Knows a thing or two about towing operations

**Bonus points if you also**:

- Are super organised and can keep a cool head when things get busy
- Take a proactive approach to safety and risk
- Bring a “can-do” attitude and thrive in a close-knit team
- Have any RYA or maritime instructor qualifications
- Understand commercial maritime compliance codes
- Know your way around marine comms or software systems

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to grow their maritime career, with the chance to eventually work with unmanned systems, global demos and trial events. No two days are the same and while there will be some travel and longer days from time to time, you'll be right at the heart of some seriously exciting marine tech projects.
