**Role**: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
**Salary**: £36,000 to £38,000 per annum + overtime & benefits
**Hours**: 4 on 4 off, PERMANENT DAYS ONLY, 6am till 6pm
**Location**: Commutable from Worthing, Bognor, Horsham, Chichester, Lewis, Brighton and surrounding areas

A well-established company that’s takes great pride in its people are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mechanical Maintenance & Fitting work - Planned preventative maintenance and reactive (fault finding and repairs).
- Covering a range of mechanical work including Conveyors, Belts, Bearings, Chains Rollers, Mixing, Crushing, Chains, Welding
- Work through various Projects including overhauls, refurbishments, fitting, installing and general fitting duties.
- Working out on the production floor as well as in the workshop.
- Working as part of a team, supporting each other, utilising each other’s strengths and help develop each other’s weaknesses.
- Identification of solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- To develop an understanding of machinery operation so that faults can be diagnosed and rectified efficiently.
- To work safely at all times and follow safe systems of work.
This would suit someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty, physically fit and interested in developing their skills and self motivated.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanically trained and qualified either through an Apprenticeship or hold mechanical engineering qualifications.
- Mechanical background in a similar environment, in industrial or production or manufacturing environment.
- Your job titles may include Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Technician.
- Must be able to Weld - Mig
- We are looking for someone who has SOME of the following mechanical experience; hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, belts, bearings, chains, pumps, gears, welding, machining, fabricating, fault finding and repairs.
- Friendly and adaptable working attitude.
- Physically fit and enjoy getting their hands dirty.
