Bristol, United Kingdom Teemill Full time

**Location**: Flexible with regular time spent at our Head Office in Freshwater and Hub in Bristol
**Contract type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full time (37.5 hours a week) but we would consider flexible/part time

Every second, a truck full of clothing is either burned or buried in landfill. The fashion industry is currently the second largest polluter in the world and this creates major problems for our planet.

We’re on a mission to change that, and so we’ve created a circular supply chain that allows you to take waste material and make new products from it, again and again. We use technology to open this up to brands and businesses across the world so that we can move the needle on sustainable, positive change.

And we’re growing, doubling in size year on year. We have some major plans for the future and we need the right people to join our journey to help brands end waste. To achieve this, we’re currently looking for a** Chief People Officer (CPO) **to work with our CEO to develop and maintain a world class internal culture that supports our high-growth, purpose-led tech business and enables all members of the team to do their very best work.

With an ambitious 5 year plan, including a 3* Best Companies Accreditation, the CPO will own the People Strategy and partner with all areas of the business to help our teams build and support their departments and take the necessary steps to create a leading workplace. This will include attracting top talent and providing them with an environment to learn, grow and flourish.

As with all executive leadership roles in rapidly growing tech scale-ups, this role requires high level strategic thinking, inspirational leadership and a real desire to get stuck in and deliver results.

**Main responsibilities include**
- Shape and define the Company's culture to support employee well-being and improve performance
- Develop and own the People Strategy to deliver high levels of engagement throughout the business
- Act as adviser to the CEO and Senior Leadership team, contributing top level strategic direction and ensuring our values are reflected in all people orientated decisions
- Own, improve and execute People Programmes including talent acquisition, on-boarding and retention, reward and recognition, learning and development and internal communications
- Partner with Management to address day-to-day People operational issues and to create a culture of employee development
- Grow and manage the People team to deliver an inviting, nurturing and cohesive employee experience
- Provide leadership and guidance for continued improvement to learning and development implementing creative and exciting progression plans
- Foster a culture where people at all levels feel secure and encouraged to address concerns and challenge the status quo
- Build an exceptional Talent Acquisition team to support scale up in the UK and internationally
- Support change management initiatives and ad-hoc projects
- Create and enhance diversity, equality and inclusion programmes

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience as a Chief People Officer, or a People Director looking to step up
- Demonstrable experience of playing a key role in delivering successful and sustainable expansion
- A track record of delivering high levels of employee engagement through establishing and developing a successful, values-oriented culture
- Experience of creating or leading a successful learning and development function
- Demonstrable employee relations experience, including case work management for performance, capability, conduct, probation and grievances
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice HR guidance
- Someone who's degree educated with ideally level 5 CIPD qualification in human resources management

**What you'll get**
- 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Wholesale wardrobe discount
- A day off for your birthday
- Free Teemill Pro accounts
- Discounted ferry travel
- Discounts at various Island cafes, restaurants, gyms and others
- Employee referral scheme
- Workplace pension scheme
- Cycle to work scheme
