We are seeking Registered Nurses and/or Operating department practitioners to join our Cardiac paediatric and adult congenital theatre team. Prior cardiac paediatric and adult congenital scrub experience is essential.

Our elective program runs from Monday to Friday and we work shifts on a 24/7 basis to provide emergency cover out of hours. We have one congenital adult and paediatric theatre running five days /week and a second congenital theatre running one day per week. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to practice in a complex and demanding speciality, offering unique experience of congenital heart conditions in both paediatric and adult congenital patients.

**The successful post holder will**:

- Provide skilled specialist assistance in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care throughout the Operating Department.
- Participate as an integral member of the theatre Scrub team, covering a full range of shifts, including earlies, lates, nights and weekends.
- Act as the patient advocate and maintain high standards of patient care, in line with NMC or HCPC code of conduct.
- Be involved in supporting and mentoring students and new staff as appropriate.

- This is a full-time position 37.5 hrs over four days per week with a commitment to night and weekend work.
- Recruitment payments are not applicable to individuals who are moving from Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust or any NHS staff working within Hampshire or the Isle of Wight. These Trusts include; Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, Solent NHS Trust, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust, South Central Ambulance NHS Trust.
- Staff who are already employed at UHS in any role are not eligible to claim relocation

allowances.
