Repairs Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Reactive Repairs Supervisor to join us here at East West Compass Limited, in NW2. The company is part of East West Connect Group and it has the long-term goal of providing reactive and planned maintenance services for social housing clients throughout London and the Southeast of England.

**Role overview**
- Working as part of a team on the company’s Reactive and Planned Maintenance Social Housing and Refurbishment projects

- Responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the agreed quality whilst exceeding client expectations, minimising risk and maximising opportunity for East West Compass and its clients
- To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality) ethos and ensure all employees and subcontractors do the same, being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are always upheld to the highest of standards.

**Main Duties**
- Provide Inductions for Operatives and Subcontractor staff and record induction
- Carry out regular Van checks and record and flag any damage through the vehicle accident reporting and deal with any cases where operatives have not flowed the process and flagged the
- Carry out regular Ladder checks and record for audit purposes
- Carry out regular PPE audits and challenge and record any Operative who has not used or replenished Flag any concerns as part of HR reviews and engage with H+S support services
- Support and input into the material ordering process and help order any specialist materials as required
- Check operatives have handed in the Van stock re-ordering sheets on set days and picked up replenishments in a timely fashion
- Work with procurement partners to manage returned stock and unused specials
- Work with Operatives and procurement team to customise van stocks and drive 85% First Time Fix
- Understand and enforce the repairs processes for Operatives especially in relation to material ordering and WIP management/FOW
- Fill in skills matrix for all ops and review as part of 1-2-l’s and update accordingly
- Identify any concerns with training requirements and work with management team to deliver training to specific ops as required and record any input/ onsite training provided
- Carry out regular Too-I Box Talk’s and record for Audit Work with the management team and Input into future TBT schedule
- Make sure Operatives complete or attend any H+S courses as requested
- Carry out any accident investigations in a timely manner
- Review On site and Offsite times for all Ops and flag any action any HR concerns
- Act as initial point of contact for Operatives to communicate with in relation to any sickness or late notifications. Help direct other HR queries as required
- Review the system for, and act on any feedback from the office where operatives have not fulfilled their roles in relation to work quality or system updates (correct on job times and photos and job notes)
- Deal with any HR issues raised by the team or client in relation to the operatives and provide feedback to management team and HR in a timely manner.
- Review productivity of Operatives and flag concerns to senior management team with examples and book in targeted inspections
- Check Rams are in place for all works undertaken and flag any concerns about competency of operatives to undertake any other works.
- Carry out workplace inspections for WIP and Post work
- Visit complaint jobs and difficult/complex repairs and provide detailed specifications for outstanding works
- Work with commercial team to produce detailed specifications and quotes as required
- Provide technical support to office and
- Respond to technical issues and training requirements raised by operatives
- Produce site files for larger value/project works as agreed
- Review material spend in line with Job descriptions and SOR values as requested by
- Regularly review the aged WIP and flag concerns and discuss with senior management team any cases that have not followed the correct process.
- Lead on recruitment for existing roles in the repairs operative team
- Understand the job management system, WIP targets/expectations and how to use the system to run reports and identify jobs that need supervisory
- Review subcontract works/quotes as requested by commercial/ops teams and manage subcontractors on si
