Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Group Financial Accountant to join a large, well known, not for profit housing association. This is a permanent contract.

The purpose of the Group Financial Accountant is to ensure the delivery of an effective financial reporting service for all Group companies, including the delivery of statutory accounts, management accounts and annual budgets.

Responsibilities of the Group Financial Accountant will include:

- Lead the Management Accounts team, ensuring the delivery of an effective and customer focussed service which supports the delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives
- Responsible for the delivery of management accounts reports for budget holders and management
- Development of effective and responsive financial reporting to meet the requirements of the Group and external stakeholders
- Supporting the continuous development, review and implementation of improvements in the delivery of the Management Accounts function for all group companies
- Support the production and delivery of statutory accounts for all Group companies, liaising with the External Audit team to ensure a successful annual audit is achieved
- Provide financial appraisal support and design appropriate investment appraisal models as part of the organisations approach to overall project appraisal and delivery
- Have significant knowledge of Accounting Regulation and experience in the delivery of accounting and reporting services to a large and complex organisation
- Have experience of leading a team
- Have strong communication, both verbal and written including negotiation and influencing skills, with an ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive conversations and queries
- Proven ability to collate, evaluate, analyse, review, report and solve complex problems, including change management activities and financial matters such as compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements
