**Job Summary**
The Support Worker plays a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, childcare facilities, and home care environments. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they support. The Support Worker will be responsible for delivering personal care, facilitating daily activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

**Duties**
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with daily living activities and promote independence.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies to support individuals with challenging behaviours.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.

**Skills**
- Strong background in patient care, particularly within nursing homes or similar environments.
- Experience in childcare or home care settings is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.
- Competence in medication administration and understanding of relevant health regulations.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
- Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £1,000.00-£1,300.00 per month

Expected hours: 9.00 - 17.00 per week

Physical Setting:

- Live-in

Shift:

- 8 hour shift

Work days:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Home care: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Canterbury CT1 1JE
