**Who are we looking for?**

**The role**:
As one of two Senior Care Assistants, you will champion high quality care, compassion and dignity. You will work closely with our other Senior Carer, our Coordinator, and Registered Manager. You will mentor and supervise a team of care staff and act as a **positive role model and support**.

The hours will need to be **flexible**, with some office based and some community based, with a need to complete work out of standard office hours when necessary. The role will require you to **commit to working every other weekend** with 2-3 rest days per week and you will participate in the **4-week on call rota**.

Adopting a **can-do attitude** and utilising your **excellent organisational skills**, you will plan and manage your time in order to meet your contracted hours and responsibilities.

As part of the on call team, you will be required to cover a **night shift** in an emergency if needed.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Mentoring a team of Care Angels; guiding new and existing carers in delivering high quality care and in their personal development
- Building positive relationships with Angels, clients and care professionals
- Introducing and shadowing carers into new clients
- Carrying out spot checks and observations, offering feedback and additional training
- Assisting with building and updating risk assessments and care plans
- Participating in the current 4-week on call rota
- Completing medication and care log audits
- Completing paperwork and submitting weekly reports
- Assisting with events

The role currently offers an **hourly rate of £13.50**, with a 32-hours minimum contract, with permissions to work to 40 hours. This is the current equivalent of £22,464 (32 hours) to £28,080 (40 hours) per annum.

**Qualifications**:

- Level 3 in health and Social Care
- Driver's license and access to own car
- Previous experience leading in the care setting
- Organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attitude towards professionalism
- Flexibility
