**Manufacturing Facilities Assistant Required**

Tods Technology are looking to recruit for a Manufacturing Facilities Assistant for our Portland, Dorset site.

We are looking for a temporary person to help us to maintain our facility and carry out general duties to improve our site. You would be responsible for:

- Clean facilities around the Production area.
- Perform facilities maintenance and light repairs.
- Perform route landscaping on the grounds.
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc).

Personal Profile:

- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Good communication ability.
- Well-organised and apt in problem solving.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A safety conscious approach to work.
- Proven experience in this field.

Tods has been in existence for more than 60 years, and is a preferred choice for the Royal Navy for the production of sonar domes, acoustic windows, acoustic coatings and other complex structures for surface warships and submarines.

The company has also built an impeccable reputation for quality and delivery to over 25 navies worldwide, from Europe to USA and Asia.

Products and services include the design and manufacture of sonar domes, submarine acoustic windows, acoustic cladding, damping treatments, radomes and other multifunctional structural composite enclosures that enhance the performance of vital sonar, radar and communications equipment.

Tods is a growing business, based on Portland and it is great time to join our workforce. The role is full time, offering 38 hours per week with the opportunity to work overtime once trained. In return we offer 25 days holiday + bank holidays and a company pension scheme.

We are currently trialling a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday from 7am - 5pm.

Initially this role will be offered on a temporary basis for approximately 6 months.

Portland is based on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic coast and is home to a huge variety of water-sports facilities and excellent sailing for all abilities.

Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: Up to £25,000.00 per year
