**Head Housekeeper
- Newton Hall**

Newton Hall is looking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible individual who can work independently as our Head Housekeeper. Domestic or commercial cleaning experience is essential. This is a full time role.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring that the hotel, its furnishings, equipment and linen are clean and safe at all times.
- Meeting the standards of hygiene and cleanliness as set by management to satisfy registration requirements.
- Litter/refuse removal.
- Ad-hoc tasks such as room inspections and minor maintenance duties.
- Must be willing to travel to rural Northumberland Newton-by-the-Sea
- Own transport is essential
- Hiring and training staff
- Stock taking
- Rota Management
- Working with hotel guests who have specific needs
- Coordinating with other departments
- Controlling supply costs for as well as laundry and wages
- Overseeing supervisors and training
- Lost property control
- Counsel and motivate employees on various duties

**Required experience**:

- Previous housekeeping experience required: 2 year
