**1. Main Responsibilities**
- Operate Harrison Alpha Lathes
- Ensuring all quality standards are met
- Ability to set the machine, CNC programming experience desirable
- Prepare and load raw material onto the machine
- Carrying out preventative maintenance on machine
- Maintaining accuracy to ensure correct quantities go on to the next operation
- Engaging in 5S, HSE and continuous improvement projects within the machining department
- Ensuring the lathe runs continuously throughout the shift, planning workload effectively to maximise throughput.
- Supporting the Machining department in other production tasks when the business requires.
- An understating, interest and enthusiasm for manufacturing and engineering in practical terms
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- The ability to use inspection equipment to self-verify own work
- Can fully understand and meaningfully contribute to discussion and decisions within the machining operations team
- Self-motivated - can work independently and autonomously when required
- Effective communicator
- Can make accurate judgements and identify appropriate courses of action to address problems as they arise
- Innovative and proactive problem-solving
- Willing to work overtime to support business needs as and when required

**3. Desired experience and qualifications**
- Experience running manual and CNC lathes
- 10+ years lathe operating

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.08-£16.05 per hour
