JOB ROLE: HR Officer & PA to Head Teacher FTC 1 Year INCREDIBLE Opportunity
JOB TYPE: FTC - 1 Year

HOURS: 8:00am-4:30pm
SALARY: £29,000 - £31,000

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:
- Oversee all HR functions including, but not limited to, managing informal and formal HR processes, disciplinaries, absence procedures and capability
- To ensure the arrangements for the weekly leadership group meeting are carried out
- To be responsible for the management of sickness records for staff on SIMS and tracking systems
- To monitor staff attendance and punctuality, logging and reporting of figures when requested
- Provide Personal Assistant duties to the Headteacher including diary management
- Receiving and processing reference requests for leavers
- To process Teaching/Support payrolls on a monthly basis, including updating payroll regarding new appointments and leavers
- To lead on and manage the school's recruitment and induction processes and procedures
- Ensure personnel files are kept accurate and up to date including archived files
- Ensure the Single Central Record is updated and accurate at all times
- Process and log all leave of absence requests, liaising with the cover Supervisor and update SIMS accordingly
- Updating relevant trackers and checklists
- To communicate with and advise the Headteacher regarding HR policies and procedures.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- Must have a valid DBS
- Working towards or completed a HR Degree or CIPD
- Knowledge of examination administrative procedures including a good understanding of the qualification system and how qualifications are assessed and awarded is desirable
- Enthusiastic and PASSIONATE about all things HR
- A high level of understanding of data management and its complexities
- Comfortable dealing with a large volume of data, prioritising workload and meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and have a calm methodical approach to work whilst working under pressure
- Ability to interpret advice/ statute and to devise policy/practice in the light of these
- Confident decision maker who can exercise their own initiative
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills
- Confidently motivate, persuade, negotiate and influence others and manage a team of staff
