My client is a leading chemical manufacturer based in the West Midlands.Supplying to a global market their products are used in a variety of industries such as pharmaceutical, agrochemical and more. An opportunity has arisen to join the Electrical Department.They are looking for a Shift Analyst, who will be working in the Quality Control Laboratory. This position will involve analysing samples, recording, and verifying analytical data, observing company regulations and aiding with the calibration of laboratoryapparatus and equipment.

**Shift Analyst**:

- Report into the Quality Control Manager and Shift Manager.
- Analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products as required.
- Carrying out safety checks of areas / equipment as required.
- Carry out visual plant/equipment inspections to GMP standards.
- Record, verify and maintain raw analytical data, to GMP and ISO 9001 standards.
- Enter final analytical results onto Analytical Report Forms and the Laboratory
Information Management System, to set procedures.
- Assist in the operation of the Out of Specification Results procedure.
- Manage laboratory reagent levels and expiry dates.
- Preparation of standard operating procedures.

**Qualifications/ Experience**
**Shift Analyst**:

- HNC/HND in Chemistry
- Demonstrate competence in a variety of analytical testing methodologies and equipment (including HPLC and GLC)
- 2 years’ experience working 'hands on' in an analytical laboratory
