As a Senior Support Worker, you will put our children and young people at the centre of everything you do. You will be providing emotional and social support in order for them to flourish and develop. This a very important and rewarding role with children and young people at the very centre of our approach. You will be involved in supporting them in all aspects of their life, their emotional well being, and other elements of their daily life such as school attendance, activities, hobbies and any other aspirations they may wish to follow. It is a requirement that all our Senior Residential Support Workers hold the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent. You must hold a current driving license, be able to remain calm in difficult situations and be willing to work shifts to cover our 24 hours/ 7 day a week operation. As a full-time employee, you will work between 10 and 14 shifts over a 28 day period. **_ \"I started with Phoenix 3 and a half years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed my role from the beginning. The company has grown since I started and I believe it continues to improve, there is always support available and you will never be alone when a challenge occurs.\"_** Abbie, Senior Support Worker in Taunton recently promoted to Registered Manager **Key Accountabilities**: - To provide high quality, person-centred care recognising the potential of each Young Person and to promote through actions and words the achievement of that potential including working as part of a team. - To meet the individual care and support needs of Young People using the service in a way that promotes, dignity, privacy, safety and independence. - To ensure the effective use of resources in providing this care and support. **What we are looking for**: - You will, ideally, have already achieved a OCF/NVQ Level 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or be excited and driven of the prospect of gaining a recognised qualification with full financial and practical support from us. - You will preferably hold a current driving license - You will consider yourself to me a resilient and reliable individual who is able to remain calm in situations that may be difficult and challenging - Our young people are cared for on a 24-hour basis and you will be required to work some sleep-ins in order to support this.
