Motor Mechanic

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced **Mechanic** to play a key role in establishing a brand-new garage in **Penicuik**. This is a unique opportunity to join from the ground up, shape how we operate, and be part of building a trusted local garage business from day one.

**About the Role**:

- Carry out a range of mechanical repairs, servicing, diagnostics, and MOT preparations (MOT tester status would be a bonus).
- Advise on repair options and liaise with customers to deliver exceptional service.
- Help set up and develop workshop processes and standards alongside management.
- Assist in growing the business by maintaining high-quality work and building strong local relationships.
- Operate tools, diagnostics equipment, and software effectively.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Extensive experience** as a qualified mechanic (minimum 5+ years).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- A proactive mindset - excited to be part of setting up and growing a new garage.
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
