This role involves working heavily with students have additional needs such was Autism and ADHD, and will require an ability to nurture and support 1-1 and in the classroom.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- As a Classroom Assistant, you will:_
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), providing targeted assistance to students.
- Work with students with a variety of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Contribute to lesson planning and delivery under the guidance of classroom teachers.
- Collaborate with teachers and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to improve classroom practices and student outcomes.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
- Receive continuous professional development and support from the school and Connex Education.

**Essential Requirements**:

- **Experience**:Prior experience working with young people, especially in an educational or similar setting, is essential.
- **Qualifications**: A minimum of grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- **Age**: Applicants must be 21 years or older.
- **DBS Check**: A current DBS on the update service, or a willingness to obtain one.

**Desirable Qualities**:

- Passion for education and a desire to pursue a career in teaching.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
- A proactive and driven individual who is dedicated to improving student outcomes.
- Experience or a particular interest in working with SEND students.
