Dog Groomer

**Job Title: Full Time Dog Groomer**

**Doggie & Gabana is small family run business and a new state of the art dog grooming spa & boutique.**

**Responsibilities:

- **

Reporting directly to the Owner you will be responsible for:

- Occasionally washing & drying the dogs (when a washer is not available)
- Styling the dogs to high standard
- Talk to new & existing clients about how they would like their dog groomed
- Occasionally hand over dogs to owners after groom
- Cleaning equipment and grooming area at the end of each day
- Occasionally answer the phone if the Retail Manager is unavailable
- Reading Customer Profile thoroughly before commencing a groom
- Make/update grooming notes for Retail Manager to update the on-line system
- Work as part of a team to deliver high quality grooms on every dog

**Required Work Experience**

Grooming experience within a dog grooming salon is preferred, but not essential.

**Skills**
- Be comfortable working with & handling dogs of all sizes/behaviours
- Passionate about dogs & their welfare
- Have extensive knowledge about dogs & different breeds
- Be firm but kind in handling dogs
- Be clearly spoken with good communication skills
- Have a positive and bubbly personality
- Hard working & ambitions to progress to being Grooming Manager is a bonus
- Projects a good image
- Team worker - happy to be working as part of a close team
- Not afraid to ask for help

**Education**

C & G Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming qualification is essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
