**About the Role**:
We’re looking for a detail-driven, proactive Internal Auditor to join our team and play a key role in protecting the income and assets of our diverse estate. Working across our hotel portfolio, you’ll assess financial and operational systems, identify risk, and make sure we’re operating efficiently, safely, and in line with internal and industry standards.
You’ll lead on the delivery of internal audits, assess compliance with financial procedures and internal controls, and present your findings with clarity and confidence. This is a people-facing role too, with plenty of cross-department collaboration—particularly with our Operational and Finance teams. You’ll provide feedback and coaching, driving improvements in both process and performance across the business. This role can be based anywhere in the UK, nationwide travel will be required.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Lead and deliver internal audits across the hotel portfolio, reviewing financial procedures and internal controls for effectiveness and compliance.
- Produce clear audit reports with prioritised actions, RAG ratings, and follow-ups to ensure improvements are made.
- Identify financial and operational risks, recommend improvements to safeguard income and reduce loss.
- Work closely with site leaders and support functions to address issues, improve systems, and protect business assets.
- Provide coaching and guidance during site visits, ensuring teams understand audit processes and standards.
- Manage data collection, document control, and action planning to ensure consistent audit delivery.
- Present key findings and collaborate with stakeholders through reports and operational forums.
- Travel to UK sites as required to deliver audits and build relationships on-site.
**About You**:
You're a motivated self-starter with a keen eye for risk and a passion for process improvement. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience in internal auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- A recognised qualification such as CIA (or similar).
- A methodical and analytical approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills—you’ll build rapport and deliver feedback with professionalism and impact.
- The ability to work independently, juggle multiple audits, and manage your time effectively.
- A flexible approach—you’ll travel frequently across our UK sites.
