Steel Worker

**The Company**:
Pro-Tect GRP Enclosures Limited is one of the leading manufactures of bespoke GRP Enclosures within the UK, and a market leader within the GRP sector.

As Pro-Tect GRP Enclosures Limited continues to grow within the UK and European market, we are now looking to strengthen our manufacturing team with an additional ‘**Steel Worker/Steel Cutter**’.

Pro-Tect GRP Enclosures Limited is looking to employ a competent **Steel Worker/Steel Cutter** to join its workforce. Experience in this role is advantageous and a background in fabrication/woodworking desirable. Associated skills in the use of table saws, cross cut saws and welding equipment within the GRP industry is desirable for the role.

**The Person**:
You will be a time server fabrication/welder with all associated qualifications. A minimum of 1 years experience will be required. You will have the ability to read technical drawings, and use all associated tooling. Previous employment in a similar industry is beneficial.

**The Role**:
Based in our Llansamlet workshop, you will undertake all GRP associated metal work. This will include : cutting of sheet steel, cutting of steel angle, preparation of structural box section steel and stick welding.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the senior laminating supervisor to ensure all production schedules are met.
- Modification of steel elements including, sheet steel, steel box section, steel angles, stick welding of steel elements.
- Monitor and maintenance of all equipment associated with the role.
- To ensure product quality and reporting of non-conformities with any steel associated products.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements of the company.
- The ability to work well with others and individually.

**Nice to Have**:

- Plasma cutter experience
- Abrasive Wheel Experience
