A long-standing and rapidly expanding electrical and security contractor in Stoke on Trent, is seeking a full-time Commercial Electrician to join its team on an employed or self-employed (CIS registered) basis to assist with the installation and commissioningof BEMS (building energy management systems) in the retail energy saving sector nationally throughout the UK.
The role offers a competitive salary up to £54,000 pro rata (depending on experience), along with 28 days holiday including bank holidays. You will also receive a company vehicle, food allowance, accommodation, and ongoing training opportunities.
**As the Commercial Electrician you will be responsible for**:
- Installation and commissioning of BEMS and small remedial works.
- Attending planned routine visits at customer sites, carrying out works back of house and on the shop floor.
- Delivering a first-class service to all customers.
**The Commercial Electrician will have the following skills and experience**:
- Self-starter with a good work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised as part of a small team.
- Holder of ECS card - JIB Gold (Level 3 Electrical, AM2, 18th Edition, Test, and Inspection), Asbestos Awareness, SSSTS, First Aid and IPAF is essential.
- Knowledge of Basic Control Systems and Web Page Controls for basic commissioning to PLCs is preferred (no programming, only basic inputs, and uploads into the relevant pages) but full training can be given where required.
- Experience with manual handling, working at height, steps and ladder safety and fire safety is essential. Approved training can be given where required.
- Full UK driving licence obtained at least 5yrs ago, with ideally less than three points.
You will be working at various national sites for a large retail client, typically between 4.00pm - 2.00am, Monday to Thursday, with half an hour for lunch. No weekends but working away will be required when the site is too far away to travel each day.Pricework option is also available and can be discussed further during the interview stage.
