**Responsibilities of the Financial Crime Assurance Officer**
- Develop and implement assessments to ensure compliance with anti-fraud regulations as per Phoenix's annual agenda. This involves collecting information, conducting stakeholder interviews, performing data analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports. Work closely with management to address identified shortcomings and ensure timely execution of corrective measures.
- Take a leading or supportive role in conducting periodic evaluations of risks and controls, focusing on financial crime activities. Develop and maintain actionable plans to address any identified gaps.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal business units and external service providers to guarantee adherence to required standards for financial crime compliance services.
- Offer specialized knowledge in financial crime to team members during assurance reviews and related endeavours, providing valuable insights and guidance.

**Background of the Financial Crime Assurance Officer**
- Substantial background in Line 2 Financial Crime within the Financial Services industry, preferably in the Life and Pensions sector.
- Proficient knowledge of regulations and legislation related to financial crime.
- Proven track record of conducting targeted reviews for assurance purposes.
- Strong analytical abilities, solid judgment, and logical reasoning skills.
- Exceptional written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex information.
- Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills, adept at managing tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously with mínimal supervision, including thriving under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating positive and enduring relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
