**Back of House - F&B assistant - Selfridges London**

**JUICI JERK BACK OF HOUSE ROLE**:
As a kitchen assistant - you are effectively the engine room of the kitchen. Working under the guidance of a kitchen supervisor, your job is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational, all ingredients are prepped throughout the day as well as making sure all prepped items leave the kitchen correctly and swiftly for our Front of House kiosk to execute

**Key responsibilities**:

- Preparing menu items for customers ordering via front of house
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- Making sure food stock levels are consistent throughout the day
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
- Conforming at all times with health and hygiene regulations

**ABOUT YOU**:

- You will show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with
excellent communication skills
- Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through
engagement with the kitchen team
- Passion for cooking, a passion for Caribbean cuisine is desirable
- At least 1 year experience in a professional Kitchen with emphasis on prep
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high
standard of food quality and presentation
- Have good understating of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
- Great people attitude, at the end of the day it’s the customers who keep the
business running

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.50 per hour
