We have an exciting opportunity and are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the Workforce team.

You will need to be able to work autonomously and demonstrate that you are an effective, well-motivated and reliable team member. It is essential that a flexible approach is taken and total confidentiality maintained.

You will need to have strong interpersonal skills, be a good communicator, be enthusiastic, work in a courteous manner and have the ability to work to deadlines to meet the demands of a busy team.

- To work as part of a team, ensuring that all payroll documentation e.g. starters, changes and leavers are actioned according to defined deadlines, adhering to statutory and NHS terms and conditions.
- Be expert in NHS terms and conditions, to be able to advise staff and managers.
- Maintain efficient filing system for the team.
- Give advice and information to managers and employees regarding payroll agreements and procedures. This will include advice and information regarding overpayment issues, sickness entitlement, tax, national insurance and NHS pension issues. This will include liaising with other teams such as Financial Management, Financial Services and Payroll.
- To complete complex calculations and enquiries, providing information or advice when required and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Manage own workload in an effective and timely manner.
- Understand the requirements of the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions.
