**Senior Accountant**

**Role Requirements**
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in practice and/or 6 months - 2 years in R&D Tax Environment
- Accountancy Qualification is a plus, but not necessarily
- Have a mixed workload of accounts and tax, including Corporation tax, Personal Tax, R&D and Property and personal taxation, IHT is a plus, but not necessary
- Strong Computer Skills, including 2-3 years’ experience on QuickBooks, Xero and Tax Calc or any other cloud softwares.
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines without any supervision
- Ability to function as a team player, be proactive and option to become the practice manager
- Helping maximising internal processes and efficiency
- Advising clients on what costs qualify for the R&D scheme and cost optimisation

**Role Responsibilities**
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records, incl from incomplete records.
- Produce statutory accounts, and corporation tax computations even from incomplete data, without supervision
- Advising clients on what costs qualify for the R&D scheme and R&D cost optimisation
- Preparing personal and corporation tax computations and tax returns
- Submitting R&D claims to HMRC & getting involved in writing reports for R&D tax claims
- Management reports on a monthly/quarterly basis to clients and/or third parties.
- Responsible personally for a portfolio of allocated clients.
- Auditing, verifying and storing safely all documents, provided by clients.
- Produce business plans when required using the company’s software tools.
- Dealing with EIS and SEIS - schemes on behalf of clients
- HMRC - enquiries
- Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees, if and when needed.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work in respect of VAT, PAYE, Accounts and Tax Return Production.
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
